About Whitstable boat tours
Whitstable Boat Tours started doing boat rides from Whitstable Harbour with a 7.8m Ribeye. We ran these boat trips under Oyster Coast Water Sports, an RYA training centre based at Long Beach to the harbour’s east. Most of the skippers you meet have received their qualifications with Oystercoast. We have now branched out by ourselves and bought our new 12-seater boat. Amma Sigga, our new boat, we imported from Iceland, where it was used for spotting Whales. It was coded to a UK spec in May, and here we are now. Please come and experience a fantastic trip and other things we do. Did you know our team won the prestigious “Trip Advisor” top ten per cent trips worldwide? Come and visit the Maunsell sea forts with us. Whitstable what to do equals a boat tour.
Meet the team at Whitstable Boat Tours.
The team is constantly expanding, but here are a couple of the main people you will meet and talk to.
Neill Austen
Yacht-Master Instructor and Wind farm captain
Neill was in the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Engineer for nine years. He is a professional Skipper and locally Skippers a High-Speed Crew Transfer Vessel for the wind farm industry. Neill is an RYA Powerboat, PWC Trainer, Yacht Master Instructor, and Examiner. Neill is also a UK Technical Advisor to the Scout Association for Power Boating and PWCs.
Mark Tuckwood
Yacht-Master and Advanced Instructor
Mark is an Ocean Yacht Master as well as an Advanced Powerboat Skipper. He is the chap that you often talk to on the phone. Mark always does his best to return calls and emails promptly. He will do his utmost to ensure you have a great experience when you book with us. Sometimes, we let him escape the office to take the helm or teach.
Paul Bishop
Advanced Powerboat Skipper
Paul is a dedicated, enthusiastic member of the team. If you get to be on his boat, he will have you captivated with information and a comical cometary about the Maunsell fort and the seals. You will probably meet his lovely wife Angela at the booking hut, who will warmly welcome you.
Boat trips or a Boat trip
Why not join us for a boat trip, visit Herne Bay pier, the World War II sea forts on the red sands, and Kentish flats wind farms from Whitstable Harbour? Every Whitstable boat trip goes out in the Thames estuary from Whitstable Harbour. To the west, we have the seals; to the northwest, the sea forts and wind farm. Most boat trips take an hour from Whitstable Harbour. Our great staff will meet you at the ticket office on the quayside in Whitstable.
